There have been announced several important Silverlight-related releases. It would be better for my readers/followers and for me to have them in the same place to be able to find links quickly.

Silverlight PivotViewer

Microsoft has published a great control to visualize enormous arrays of data. This control allows filtering, sorting, re-arranging of objects by one mouse click. Some people says it is the revolution in the data visualization.

There are some implementation of that mechanism:

• Netflix Instant Watch Movies. Uses Windows Azure and Silverlight PivotViewer to visualize a search by Netflix movies collection. Check the story how the site was built.
• Hitched Wedding Locations. Provides a visual search to find a venue location by bunch of parameters.
• World Cup Pivot. Provides several dozen of parameters to find a football player.
• Tweet Pivot. Gives a chance to arrange your followers by great number of parameters.

Silverlight for Symbian

Microsoft has announced the general availability of Silverlight for the Symbian platform. This platform is available for  Nokia N60, Nokia 5800 XPressMusic and Nokia N97 models. Unfortunately, developers should use Silverlight 2 as a platform for development. Also, you can check following links for details:
